Terms of Service
Last updated 21 October 2026
The short version
- psychosis.gg is a roleplay platform. Every character is fictional and AI-written.
- You need to be 13 or older, with a parent or guardian's permission if you're under 18.
- Keep it safe for work: nothing sexual, no harassment, nothing illegal.
- You own what you write. We use it to run the service and, if your training setting is on, to train our own models.
- It's not professional advice or a crisis service. If you're in danger, contact emergency services or a crisis line.
These terms are the agreement between you and psychosis.gg ("we", "us") about using psychosis.gg (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What psychosis.gg is
psychosis.gg is a roleplay platform. You chat with original, fictional characters, in stories you shape by playing a part or by directing the scene. Characters can remember things you've told them across your chats, and can send you AI-generated pictures.
Characters are AI, and fiction
- Every character is fictional and every reply is generated by AI. No person is reading or writing your messages as you chat.
- Replies can be wrong, inconsistent or odd, so don't rely on them as fact. When characters talk about their feelings, memories or lives, that's part of the story.
- Nothing on psychosis.gg is professional advice: not medical, mental health, legal, financial or any other kind.
- psychosis.gg is not a crisis or emergency service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line, such as Lifeline 13 11 14 (Australia), 988 (US and Canada) or Samaritans 116 123 (UK and Ireland). Characters are built to step out of the story and point you to help (our Safety page explains how), but they're no substitute for a person.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 13. If you're under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they should read these terms with you. Where the law sets a higher age for using online services without a parent's consent, that age applies to you. Roleplay with AI characters may not be suitable for some minors; the Safety page explains how psychosis.gg works for teens.
- You sign in with Discord or with your email address. If you use Discord, Discord's own terms and age requirements apply to you too.
- One person per account. Keep your Discord account or your email secure: you're responsible for what happens through your account.
- You can't use psychosis.gg if we've banned you before, or where the law doesn't allow you to.
Content rules
psychosis.gg is safe for work. Dark themes are welcome in stories (mystery, danger, conflict, grief) as long as they stay within these rules. You agree not to:
- seek, create or share sexual or sexually explicit content of any kind;
- create anything that sexualises minors, in any way. We report this to the authorities;
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, or attack people for who they are (for example their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality or disability);
- use the service to target, impersonate or make content about real private people, or to deceive anyone;
- seek real-world help with violence, weapons, self-harm or crime, or use the service to break the law;
- try to get around the rules characters follow (including "jailbreak" prompts), our safety systems or our usage limits;
- access the service with bots, scrapers or other automated tools, reverse engineer it, or overload or attack it;
- make extra accounts to dodge limits or a ban, or sell, share or transfer your account.
Your content
- "Your content" means what you write: your messages, directions and chat names.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display it as needed to run, secure and improve psychosis.gg, and, if your training setting is on, to use it to train and evaluate our own AI models as described in the Privacy Policy.
- That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already used in a training run (a trained model can't un-learn one conversation) and copies the law requires us to keep.
- You're responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
- Character replies and pictures are generated for you, and you may use them for any lawful personal purpose. We don't promise they're unique (other people may get similar replies) or that anyone can own copyright in them.
Our content
The site, its design, the characters (their names, descriptions, personalities and portraits) and our software belong to us or the people we license them from. You're welcome to share screenshots and excerpts of your stories, as long as it isn't commercial. You can't copy the characters or the service to build something that competes with it.
Free plan and limits
psychosis.gg is free to use, with daily limits that keep it free for everyone. Limits can change. If we ever offer paid features, they'll come with their own terms, which you'll see before you pay.
Safety and moderation
We don't read conversations as a matter of routine. We may review specific conversations, with automated tools or in person, when we need to: to investigate abuse or a report, keep someone safe, fix a problem, prepare training data (only with your training setting on, and with personal details removed), or comply with the law.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where content suggests a serious risk to someone's life or safety, or involves the sexual exploitation of children, we may report it to the relevant authorities.
Ending your account
You can stop using psychosis.gg and delete your account at any time, in Settings or by emailing support@psychosis.gg. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop running the service. The parts of these terms that are meant to outlast an account (like the disclaimers and liability limits) still apply afterwards.
Changes
psychosis.gg is young, and it will change. We may add, change or remove features, characters and limits, and we may pause or close the service. If we plan to close it, we'll give at least 30 days' notice on the site where we reasonably can, so you have time to request a copy of your data.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using psychosis.gg after that, you're agreeing to the new terms.
Disclaimers
psychosis.gg is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises of any kind about it, including that it will always be available, be free of errors, or that replies will be accurate, appropriate or suitable for any purpose.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of psychosis.gg or from anything a character says. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't legally be limited or excluded.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of them straight away, we haven't given up the right to later.
